Exporting iMovie HD to PC

For iMovie 5 instructions

Standard Quicktime will run on the PC, but to get the best quality with the lowest file size try this

In iMovie HD 6.0.3

-Select the Share menu, and Quick Time

-Choose the option Compress movie for: Expert Settings

-From the Save exported file as .. dialog box

-set your Save As: filename and Where:

-Change: Export: Movie to MPEG-4

 

-Click the Options button

-From the Export Settings dialog box

-Set the following:

-Video Format: MPEG-4 Basic

-Image Size: Current

-Key Frame: Automatic

-Click the OK buttons.

-Click the Save button
